How do I modify the transportation model for my ocean shipping order?

If you no longer wish to use the ocean shipping service you have booked through Alibaba.com Freight, you can cancel your ocean shipping order. Cancellation and penalty fees may apply, depending on the cancellation policy of your provider.

You can see the cancellation policy on the quote tile and in the booking process. Most of our providers offer a Standard cancellation policy. You can cancel your shipment and Order, but if a provider has already incurred costs, you will be charged for any commercially reasonable costs and refunded the remainder.

However, different carriers do have different cancellation policies; these will always be shown next to the Quote for your consideration during booking so please make sure you read through them before you pay. For example, for some ocean carriers, a strict cancellation policy is such that shipments cancelled less than 5 days before port cut-off, are subject to a penalty fee of 20% of the shipment cost.
