How do I cancel my payment for Trade Assurance order?

Whether or not you will be able to cancel your payment for a Trade Assurance order depends on the status of your order.

Scenario 1: 

For "payment still in processing" orders, you cannot cancel payment when the funds have not yet been received by the seller. Once the funds are received by the seller, you can initiate cancellation.

Scenario 2: 

For "waiting for supplier to ship" orders, you have the option to apply for refund by filing a dispute. If the supplier agrees with your refund request, the refund will be processed. If not, you can escalate the case to Alibaba who will provide a ruling after investigations.
