What is DAT?

DAT is the abbreviation for Delivered at Terminal. The seller bears the cost, risk and responsibility until goods are unloaded (delivered) at named quay, warehouse, yard, or terminal at the destination. Demurrage or detention charges may apply to sellers. The seller clears the goods for export, but not import.
