What is the material used on elastic book covers?

From the description on Alibaba it sounds just like a stretchable polyester fabric (i.e, just about every piece of clothing made out there that isn't cotton).

What makes it stretchable is the spandex that is sewn in with the polyester fabric.

This should be available at any fabric store (including Walmart or Jo-Ann Fabrics) that sells fabric in spools or bolts. Just ask for stretchable polyester.
