With Yahoo being courted by Microsoft, you would be choosing between those two major players.  My sense is that Baidu has a greater share of market than Alibaba, which I believe is mostly a BtoB (business to business) platform.  With a global recession, they may not be growing as much as search users on pcs in China.  Having said that it is your Own responsibility to do "due diligence" and if you can trust yahoo users to decide for you on how to invest you are in for a disappointment!!!   good luck in your investments!!!

I have personally invested in a couple shares of Baidu.com. China's market and economy is growing rapidly and as they have already said: "Baidu is China's Google." - the four simple words to describe Baidu.com.
