Queston on alibaba or foreign trades?

how will i know if a supplier from alibaba is a fake? i have chatted with a few suppliers from alibaba and the prices are incredibly low. I dont want to get scammed. anyone ever dealt with suppliers from alibaba or any foreign trades? any advice? thanks

Alibaba  is just a directory.  You need to do due diligence on any supplier you want to deal with.  Before you do anything else, check them out at HTTP://www.bbb.org/ and/or HTTP://wwww.ripoffreport.com/

You cannot decide about the legitimacy of any buyer or seller by any b2b website. All of them have some good and bad firms. The thing is try follow safe trade rules, do not agree on advance payment option and stick with L/C of at least 30 to 60 days.

If possible try to find authentic database usually provided by the Governments of their manufacturers, importers, exporters and traders.

Read their forums and you will see many "Gold,Trust" members accused of scamming.
Follow Henry's advice and research any supplier you are considering. Send them an email with clear requirements you may have. NEVER NEVER NEVER use Western Union, also with international deals paypal isn't much better.
Sadly, the best and most reliable wholesaler don't sell in low quantities.
