Please share your experience with alibaba?

Question

I am planning to buy about 50 HDDs from alibaba's one of the gold seller in china or hong kong. I had contacted a few sellers and almost all of them don't accept paypal/escrow. They are selling at a very profitable price and seems like a very good deal.

I also asked for sample and they are ready to give one(definitely at some higher price). Can I trust them?

I am buying a branded Hard disk so is it worth buying from alibaba?

Please share you experience (and not what you had heard) if you ever dealt with alibaba

I have not imported directly from China but as I understand you are best off getting some training regarding dealing their interpretation of contracts, etc., I have seen a couple of courses on the subjet, there's a 78 page ebook that's kinda basic but might have a few worthwhile gems:

That gold seal shows they are a big enough operator to buy one but not a guarantee of reliability. I understand for cheap products, if you can offer to pay shipping, perhaps through a fedex account, they are much more willing to send samples.

Alibaba is simply a bigger Ebay.rnIt is old, it is proven and it is huge.rnYou just probably need to open a bank account in China and register 支付宝rnkinda like the Chinese counterpart of paypal.
