Is the website alibaba.com a scam?

i was looking to buy a 2008 yamaha super jet from a seller on alibaba.com i was wondering if it could be a scam cause it is so much cheaper then normal. Also what does this mean "minimum order 10 piece" or " minimum order 10 pieces."

It's a marketplace for buyers and sellers. People who own a business find manufactures and buy in bulk at a cheaper price. Most of the companies are in china or other asian countries. There are a lot of scammers on the site but also genuine companies. It takes a lot of time and research to find a good genuine company. "minimum order 10 piece" means you will have to buy 10 items. Don't forget you will also have to pay shipping and duty.... It sounds like you're just looking to buy this one item. This is not the site to do that.
