Is it possible to buy stocks of Alibaba.com on the day of the IPO (Novermber 6th 2007)?
Alibaba.com stocks are supposed to be sold on the Hong Kong exchange? Can regular people (not mutual funds) buy those?
Are there going to be ADR's for them on the NYSE?

if the ipo was on the nyse i would consider it however an ipo on a foreign exchange is not a good idea. You have currency transferr issues and because you are a "foreign investor" there may be rules in place to shut you out of the ipo anyway. Nowmally when the stock is launched on the open market yes you can get into it. But be prepared to get out quick if it goes up too fast. As for ADR havent't heard.

you probably can, but you'll probably be buying them from people who got the best price - price could drop from what you buy it at - not all IPO's go up a lot the first day(s) - as insiders sell theirs, if not enough buying demand - prices will drop - might be better to wait and see how they do the first day or two
