Alibaba is nothing but a listing site. While there are legitmate businesses that post there, there have also been reports of scammers and a few years ago there was a major scandal where some employees knowingly allowed scam companies to have a gold status, even though they were not legitimate businesses http://www.economist.com/blogs/newsbook/2011/02/online-fraud_scandal_china
There is no way I would buy anything expensive from a Chinese website to begin with. The import duties and shipping costs are going to be at least as much as if not more than the price you are paying for the house

Alibaba.com is a reliable website, but the providers/people who are selling in the alibaba.com you need to proper research before you trust them. Use Google to search about them. It is no different than ebay or craigslist. There are good and bad. You still need to do your research.
