I'm checking out a jacket on alibaba.com that is 1/4 the retail price. What's my risk of getting a faulty/fake product?

NO! don't buy from there. it is a scam. just google alibaba scam and you will see.

Well unfortunately most of the companies that they represent are WHOLESALERS and JOBBERS, what does this mean? It means you would need to buy in quantities of hundreds, thousands if not hundreds of thousands. Unless you are willing to deal with them, I would find the prices from a retailer.
