Buying a fishfinder on Alibaba?

Is buying on Alibaba safe?  The member is a gold member and has trustpass but the product he is selling is really cheap.  A fishfinder that retails for $2000 for $599.  To good to be true?  Anyone have experience in this?  How can I protect myself?
